One of our favorite events of the year is quickly approaching! From February 22 through March 1, 2020, the Colorado Garden and Home Show will take place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Hosted by the Colorado Garden Foundation, the 9-day show has more than 650 companies that exhibit and around 50,000 attendees. With over 400,000 square feet of the show to visit, it's important to plan out what you'll be seeing before you get there to maximize your time.

Some of the team from Alive Outside Landscaping will be there and we can't wait. If you're attending the show, here are some highlights you need to be sure to check out—and come visit us at booth #1462 while you're there.

You can tour more than an acre of landscaped gardens.

Around 5,500 square feet of the show will feature gardens designed by local companies. The garden, presented by Bellco, will feature beautiful native plants and can give you ideas of what you'd like to see in your yard. Gardens designed by high school students, college students, and landscaping professionals will encompass a wide variety of tastes. We will be just around the corner from the Colorado State University garden, so take a tour of their landscaped garden and then come see us to talk about what elements you want to add to your business or home landscaping.

The 9NEWS Hot Products Zone will spotlight new products that your home can benefit from!

Another area we're excited to check out is the 9NEWS Hot Products Zone, which spotlights new products for your home or garden. Some of the products you can find in the zone include:

  • A new type of fire extinguisher system
  • A whole house fan that connects to Google Home or Alexa
  • A cold frame or hoop house that regulates temperatures and protects plants
  • Concrete log siding that is designed to work better than logs
  • Sculpted relief murals that are created for interior wall surfaces
  • And more!

There will be a Kids' Zone for those who want to let their kids take a break and play.

The Colorado Garden and Home Show is kid-friendly, and there's also a play area for them to enjoy. Activities in the kids' zone include balloon animals, a play structure, and arts and crafts. Take a break from browsing the show so the kids can check out the play area!

Educational theater sessions provide valuable insight into various aspects of homeownership.

Throughout the show, there will be various educational theater sessions that provide valuable insight into aspects of homeownership. From landscaping to interior design, they cover it all. The schedule for the theater sessions will be available at the Colorado Garden Foundation site.
